Bratislava for the day!

When a round-trip train ticket is only 16 euro ($17.60 US), it kinda feels like you HAVE to visit a neighboring country, right? So off to Bratislava, Slovakia we went! The bit we saw, it reminded us a lot of Budapest with the communist history and culture. Definitely worth the hour train ride.

Purging Our Pictures

Well, it’s our last night in our home. Tomorrow morning we leave for the airport while our estate seller sells what she can and donates or junks the rest. I can say with relative confidence that we have done everything we hoped to do to prepare and we are ready to go. I’m pleasantly surprised to find there are no last minute jitters or second guessing.

Final Preparations

We’ve been sweating a bit these last few days as we watch the development of Hurricane Dorian in the Caribbean. As we are now just a week away from departing our home in Bradenton, Florida, all kinds of bad ideas were occurring to us. What if we had a roof leak or flooding right before we left? What if the estate sale had to be delayed? What if our flight next Saturday is canceled?
